FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: method is carried out by additional titanium dioxide introduction into the ceramic mass comprising clay, galvanic slurry formed during reagent purification of galvanic shop waste water by calcium hydroxide, containing, wt %: Zn (OH)2 - 11.3; Ni (OH)2 - 2.6; Cu (OH)2 - 2.4; Cr (OH)3 - 9.3; CaOC3 - 40.3; Ca (OH)2 - 16.5; SiO2 - 7.0, and boric acid, at the following component ratio, wt %: clay - 80.0; galvanic slurry - 5.0; titanium dioxide 10.0; boric acid - 5.0.
EFFECT: increased compressive strength and frost resistance, reduced water absorption and thermal conductivity of clay based ceramics, galvanic slurry utilisation to produce environmentally friendly material.
