METHOD OF SELECTING PATIENTS AT RISK GROUP FOR DEVELOPMENT OF FOLLICULAR ANGINA Russian patent published in 2018 - IPC G01N33/52

Abstract RU 2672862 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, in particular to microbiology and otolaryngology, and can be used to select patients to the risk group for the development of follicular angina associated with non-diphtheria corynebacteria. To do this, examine the patient's oropharyngeal discharge, in which the concentration of non-diphtheria corynebacteria (K), CFU/ml is determined. When the K value is ≥104, additionally determine the characteristics of non-diphtheria corynebacteria: the value of the average adhesion index (AAI) to Hep-2 pharyngeal epithelial cells, the value of the average invasion index (AII) in the Hep-2 pharyngeal epithelial cells, the absence or presence of hemolytic activity of bacteria and the absence or presence of urease. Determine the coefficients of adhesion (K1), invasion (K2), hemolytic activity (K3) and urease (K4). Depending on the value of AAI, AII, the presence of hemolytic activity and/or urease, the values of K1 K2, K3, K4 are assigned a numeric value from 0 to 2. Then calculate the risk coefficient (RC) of the development of follicular angina. When the RC≥4, the patient is selected to the risk group for the development of follicular angina.

EFFECT: invention allows to select at risk group for the development of follicular angina associated with non-diphtheria corynebacteria.
