FIELD: technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to catalysis and oil refining. Disclosed is a carrier for a catalyst for processing hydrocarbon material, which includes aluminum oxide and zeolite, wherein as zeolite, the support contains crystalline ferroaluminosilicate or ferrogallium alumosilicate with zeolite structure ZSM-5 or ZSM-11 in amount of 1–75 wt%. Invention also relates to a method of preparing a catalyst support for processing hydrocarbon feedstock by mixing aluminum hydroxide with zeolite, peptizing with a solution of a mineral and / or organic acid, granulation, thermal treatment of obtained carrier granules, wherein zeolite is crystalline ferroaluminosilicate or ferrogallium aluminosilicate with ZSM-5 or ZSM-11 zeolite structure in amount of 1–75 wt%.

EFFECT: technical result consists in lower temperature of the complete burning out of the catalyst coke at the stage of catalyst regeneration.
