SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to medicine, in particular to the clinical and experimental diagnosis for measuring blood characteristics, and concerns a method for the differential diagnosis of psychosomatic and somatic diseases. Method includes conducting hematological studies to determine the values of electrophoretic mobility of erythrocyte (EEPM) and erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR). Based on the values of EEPM and ESR, the psychosomatic indicator (PSI) is calculated using the formula PSI=1/(EEPM x ESR). Based on the value of the psychosomatic indicator (PSI), the patient’s condition is assessed in one of the following categories: PSI=0.12–0.15 – the norm, PSI<0.12 – hypofunction, mediating the development of somatic pathology, PSI>0.15 – hyperfunction of stress-implementing systems, causing the development of psychosomatic dysfunctions of the body.

EFFECT: technical result from the use of the invention is to simplify the procedure and reduce the time of the study, increase the reliability of diagnosis and the effectiveness of the treatment, the exclusion of trauma to humans, the possibility of use in any clinical laboratory.
