FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: proposed group of inventions relates to a method and apparatus for air or liquid separation of bulk materials and can be used in food, chemical and other industries, as well as in agriculture for the preparation of seeds for sowing and for plant-breeding purposes. Above method for separation of bulk mixture in a fluid uses the gravitational flow of particles, aerodynamic monotonously increasing action applied to these particles at an acute angle to a column of turbulent air jets expanding in a cascade and the discharge of the finished fractions. Said method is carried out using a device containing a hopper with a vibrating channel for gravity feed of the mixture to the separation zone, a jet generator installed below them with flat nozzles of different size arranged one below another, formed by the upper and lower flat walls and surrounded by the side walls of the separation chamber, as well as a fraction collector. Air jets are formed using nozzles, in each of which the lower and upper walls are located at an acute angle to each other. Moreover, the width of the upper wall is at least 3.5 times the size of the height of the smallest cross-section of the nozzle, and the width of the lower wall is proportionate to it.
EFFECT: increased efficiency of separation.
