FIELD: pumps.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to heat pumps. Heat pump system comprises a refrigerant circuit, a compressor, an evaporator and a controller programmed to defrost the evaporator in the first defrost mode. In the first defrosting mode, the controller is programmed to track the evaporator to detect frost on it and reduce the compressor speed and/or reduce the number of several, but not all operating compressors when there is frost on the evaporator. Controller is additionally programmed to defrost the evaporator in the second defrosting mode, in which the controller is programmed to track the evaporator to detect the formation of frost on it, shutdown of at least one compressor if there is frost on the evaporator and activation of the fan to pump ambient air through the evaporator to defrost the evaporator.
EFFECT: technical result is to ensure defrosting without the use of a reverse cycle of the refrigerant circuit and the reduction or prevention of cooling of the heat exchange circuit during the defrost cycle.
