SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to pediatrics, and can be used to predict the risk of developing secondary cardiomyopathy in children with epilepsy. For this purpose, the levels of the spectral parameters of heart rate variability in the horizontal position are determined: the total power of the spectrum, the low-frequency component of the heart rhythm, and in the blood, the activity of the myocardial isoform of creatine phosphokinase, and a high risk of secondary cardiomyopathy is predicted in case of levels of total spectrum power from 1,870 to 1,990 ms2 and low-frequency component of the heart rate from 921 to 1,015 ms2 and with an increase in the activity of the myocardial isoform of creatine phosphokinase from 0.39 to 0.44 mckat/L; a low risk of developing secondary cardiomyopathy is predicted in case of levels of total spectrum power from 2,462 to 2,556 ms2 and low-frequency component of the heart rate from 1,052 to 1,280 ms2 and with an increase in the activity of the myocardial isoform of creatine phosphokinase from 0.31 to 0.36 mckat/L.

EFFECT: method allows to increase the accuracy of predicting the degree of risk of secondary cardiomyopathy in children with epilepsy.
