FIELD: military equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to military equipment – artillery guns with wedge locking of the barrel. Mechanism for locking the barrel of an artillery piece contains a vertically sliding wedge with inclined surfaces and a diamond-shaped protrusion, a drive for moving the wedge with spring-loaded guides containing unlocking protrusions. Unlocking protrusions of one of its surface contact with the inclined surfaces of the wedge, on the other one a tooth is made, its working surface contacts with the diamond-shaped protrusion of the wedge.
EFFECT: ensuring unaccented operation of the barrel bore locking mechanism, elimination of wedge bounces from unlocking projections and limiting the load on the closing spring.
