FIELD: pipelines.
SUBSTANCE: pipeline laying vessel has a tap having a base with a hollow inner part, and a system for manipulating a stinger for manipulating a stinger extending from the ship. System for stinger handling has traction extending outward through hole from hollow inner part towards vessel side for connection with stinger. Tie rod can transmit both tensile and compressive loads. Jack structure located inside hollow internal part of crane base is installed for pulling-in and pulling-out tie rod from inner part of crane base for lifting and lowering of stinger.
EFFECT: universal connection can be provided for proper alignment of rod to stinger in horizontal plane.
