SUBSTANCE: invention relates to devices for mixing and can be used in the preparation of the electrolyte in the form of a gel for refilling lead-acid batteries. Device for mixing a liquid substance and a solid contains a tank, in which the high-speed blade mixer is located, a low-speed mixer is additionally installed at an angle in the tank, which allows to improve the electrical conductivity of the electrolyte and increase the degree of electrolyte impregnation of the porous battery cells, and hence its electrical capacity. In this case, the blades of a high-speed mixer are mounted on a collapsible (detachable) axis, allowing them to be set, and have a groove configuration that ensures the fastest possible dissolution of the thickener in an acid solution. In addition, on a low-speed agitator, a screw is made, selected to ensure the effective incorporation of dry components in a solution of sulfuric acid.

EFFECT: invention provides an even distribution of dry components in the electrolyte volume and improvement of its fluidity in the battery space by optimizing the mixing modes of the electrolyte components by using mixers with different rotation speeds and a configuration of working blades.
