FIELD: electrochemical power engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrochemical power engineering and can be used in development and production of lithium-ion accumulators. Method of making a lithium-ion battery separator consists in preparing a suspension of a polymer base in a solvent, applying said suspension on a flat surface by shearing force and subsequent drying. Preparation of the suspension involves mixing the calculated amounts of the polymer base for 10-15 minutes in a vacuum mixer at a mixing speed of 800-1,000 rpm, adding N-methylpyrrolidone and stirring for 2.5-3 hours at the same rate, and application of the suspension on a flat surface is carried out using an applicator with gap of 15 mcm, drying is carried out at 75-80 °C for 10-12 hours, wherein the polymer base used is a mixture of polytetrafluoroethylene grade PTFE 963 with D50 of not more than 3 mcm and polyvinylidene difluoride PVDF 900 α modification and N-methylpyrrolidone is used as a solvent.
EFFECT: obtaining a separator of a lithium-ion accumulator with an adaptive structure and a level of conductivity corresponding to liquid electrolytes, which increases capacity of the accumulator.
