FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for the manufacture of explosive extrusion composite multilayer parts. Titanium powder is placed on the surface of the metal substrate. Then an intermediate layer of a mixture of powders of chromium carbide with titanium in a ratio of 78 wt. % Cr3C2 and 22 wt. % Ti is formed, mixture of powders of silicon carbide with titanium in the ratio of 38–42 wt. % SiC and 58–62 wt. % Ti is applied. Thickness of the intermediate layer is 2.5–3.5 mm. Explosive charge initiated above the powder material, separated from it by a metal plate, is initiated. Normally falling detonation wave compacts the powder material to a practically non-porous state and creates conditions for the components to be connected to each other and to the steel substrate.
EFFECT: technical result is to increase the strength of the compound coating with a metal substrate.
