FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention discloses a method for producing a powdered material from cerium oxide on an aluminium oxide substrate. Cerium organometallic precursor is properly split into CeO2 nanoparticles at a temperature of 500–700 °C in the conditions of the oxygen environment by the method of chemical deposition in the vapor phase, and CeO2 nanoparticles are uniformly applied to the substrate of Al2O3. CeO2 precursor splitting is accelerated by changing the experimental parameters of the reaction between organic materials and oxygen to control the size and microstructure of the powder, thereby allowing to obtain and uniformly apply nanoparticles of cerium oxide, as well as to prevent the problem of generating a toxic spent solution during the reaction.
EFFECT: method of the present invention is simple, has a short production period, and the resulting cerium oxide nanoparticles are uniformly applied and can be used as catalytic and functional materials, and also have a wide potential for use in many areas.
