SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine. Multifocal intraocular lens with an increased depth of field contains a zone with a multifocal profile with a specific optical axis located at least in one of the surfaces, and this zone has a radius of not more than 1.5 mm, as well as an opaque ring-shaped masking element located in the peripheral region of the coaxially multifocal zone, which completely or partially impedes the passage of light with the creation of an aperture effect, and, consequently, the multifocal profile has a radius, which is equal to or greater than the inner radius of the masking element. In this case, a transition between the focal zones or a step of the diffraction region within the inner radius of the mask element is provided. Optical axis is offset relative to the geometric center of the lens.
EFFECT: application of this invention will expand the arsenal of technical means.
