FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to medical equipment. Microprojection applicator comprises a rigid flat plate member with an upper surface and a lower surface, the plate member having at least one opening extending therethrough. Blocking element in contact with the upper surface of the plate member is capable of moving between a first position and a second position. Plunger has a proximal end, a distal end on which at least one microprojection is retained, and a shaft extending therebetween. Proximal end rests on the blocking element and is at least partially retained by the blocking element in its first position. Plunger can slide in the opening of the plate member. Energy-storing element is positioned between the lower surface of the plate member and the distal end of the plunger. Actuating member has an external surface for application of a force and at least one surface in mechanical communication with the blocking element. Actuating member moves the blocking element from its first position to its second position when a force is applied to the external surface of the actuating member, thereby releasing the plunger and the energy-storing element. Versions of a method of delivering a therapeutic agent and an alternative embodiment of a microprojection applicator are disclosed.

EFFECT: technical result consists in providing a convenient and uniform delivery process through microneedles.
