SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to oncology, and can be used to predict functional disorders of the rectal closure apparatus in patients who have been treated for colorectal cancer. Ultrasound imaging of the internal and external anal sphincters, the tendon center of the perineum is carried out transcrotchly in men and transvaginally in women. Determine the thickness of the muscles in millimeters before and after radiation or surgical treatment. With a decrease in muscle thickness within 15–19 %, a low probability of the development of functional disorders of the rectal closure apparatus is predicted. With a decrease in muscle thickness in the range of 20–40 % predict the average probability of the development of functional disorders of the rectal closure apparatus. With a decrease in muscle thickness more than 40 % predict a high probability of the development of functional disorders of the rectal closure apparatus.

EFFECT: method allows to develop an individual plan for rehabilitation of patients with rectal cancer pathology by assessing and predicting the degree of functional changes in the muscles of the locking apparatus of the rectum.
