FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, in particular to dentistry. As a result of surgery, it is possible to open the mouth to at least 35–40 mm in the area of incisors, then, for the manufacture of a device for the separation of the jaws (DSJ), make impressions of the upper and lower jaws arches, mold working models, mark the models and produce two plastic plates on the upper and lower jaws with occlusal lining, with a smooth surface facing the oral cavity; in the region of the chewing teeth, uncoupling springs are welded, connecting the plates to each other, then the manufactured DSJ amplifier in the compressed state is introduced into the oral cavity to arches to be in the patient’s mouth around the clock and due to the elastic properties of the springs the device contributes to the separation of the dentition, during the first five days after the operation, irrigation of the oral cavity is performed during the postoperative wound dressing and before the examination of the oral cavity, on the third day after the operation, start learning and developing skills of sliding movements and abstraction of the lower jaw, on the seventh day after the operation, the therapy is carried out daily, 2 times a day, using myogymnastics and active lateral and circular movements of the lower jaw at a slow pace with a maximum amplitude, 10 days after the operation, mechanotherapy is carried out 3 times a day, then, one month after the operation, a control examination is carried out and when opening the mouth for 35–40 mm, the device is removed from the oral cavity and fixed only for the duration of the mechanotherapy 3 times a day, which is carried out for a year, after which a control examination is performed.
EFFECT: method ensures the achievement of the following results: possibility of constant (round-the-clock) use of the device; possibility to select the magnitude of the mechanical force by changing the diameter of the wire; possibility to dose the active force during activation or deactivation of the opening springs; possibility to achieve accurate matching the size of the device and dental arches of the patient; exclusion of functional overload of individual teeth and the formation of bite anomalies; eliminating the need for additional fixation; possibility of using the device as a projectile for active therapeutic gymnastics.
