METHOD FOR PREDICTING THE RISK OF DEVELOPMENT OF ACQUIRED CARDIOMYOPATHY IN ATHLETES Russian patent published in 2018 - IPC G01N33/50 G01N33/68 G01N33/74

Abstract RU 2674340 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to pediatric cardiology. Invention is a method for predicting the risk of developing cardiomyopathy in athletes, including determining in children involved in sports for 2-3 years, serum concentrations of troponin-T, N-terminal natriuretic peptide, interleukin-4 (IL-4) and interleukin-6 (IL-6), while predicting a high risk of developing acquired cardiomyopathy with a troponin-T concentration from 0.76 to 0.91 ng/ml, when the concentration of the N-terminal natriuretic peptide is from 78.2 to 92.5 pg/ml, at the concentration of IL-4 from 1.8 to 2.5 pg/ml and at the concentration of IL-6 from 8.3 to 10.1 pg/ml; predict a low risk of developing acquired cardiomyopathy at a troponin-T concentration of from 0.48 to 0.72 ng/ml, when the concentration of the N-terminal natriuretic peptide is from 44.3 to 71.5 pg/ml, at the concentration of IL-4 from 3.2 to 4.0 pg/ml and at the concentration of IL-6 from 7.1 to 8.1 pg/ml.

EFFECT: invention is aimed at improving accuracy of predicting the risk of developing cardiomyopathy in children playing sports for 2–3 years.
