FIELD: testing equipment.
SUBSTANCE: using: for technical diagnostics of composite materials on the basis of carbon plastics by acoustic emission method. Core of the invention is that first, acoustic emission control is carried out under step static loading of carbon samples with the same stress concentrator until they are completely destroyed, the arrival times of each registered signal to acoustic transducers are determined and their coordinates from the arrival time difference are calculated, at each step of loading, the values of the median amplitudes of signals from the hub area and their structural coefficients are fixed and threshold values are calculated for these parameters, then the static loading of the carbon structure under test is performed, the values of the median amplitudes of the signals and structural coefficients are fixed, and compared with the threshold values. With a simultaneous decrease in the structural coefficient and an increase in the median amplitude of this group of signals, a defect and its coordinates are judged.
EFFECT: technical result: providing the possibility of improving the reliability of diagnosing products made of composite materials based on carbon fiber in real time by determining the beginning of the destruction of the composite material.
