SUBSTANCE: present disclosure relates to a method and apparatus for obtaining a volume of water for an air humidifier. Devices for obtaining a volume of water for a humidifier implement a method for obtaining a volume of water for a humidifier, comprising: obtaining a target moisture parameter for a room to be moistened; determining the volume of water required to reach the target moisture parameter by the humidifier; and outputting a notification message, wherein the notification message carries said volume of water, wherein the output of the notification message comprises sending a notification message to the humidifier, wherein the notification message is used to cause the humidifier to display a reminder message when the water in the humidifier tank reaches said volume of water.
EFFECT: this creates convenience to the user in adding water to the humidifier tank and reduces damage to the humidifier due to inadequate water in the humidifier.
