FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in mechanized arc welding of metals with a consumable fluxed electrode. Flow of the consumable electrode is carried out at a constant speed. Welding pulses are formed by periodically instantaneous decrease in the current of the welding arc and removal of the above-mentioned reduction, with provision for an abrupt increase in current. Formation of a portion of the molten metal of the consumable electrode is controlled by changing in pulse parameters of the arc, including: current value of the welding arc, magnitude and time of reduction of the current of the welding arc, pause time between the periods of decrease in the current of the welding arc.
EFFECT: method provides the ability to influence the process of crystallization of the weld metal in the weld pool.
