FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to forensic medicine, namely to the forensic medical identity of an individual, namely to definition of age. To perform the method, histological preparations of the right plate of human thyroid cartilage are studied, conduct photo-taking of images and measurement with the help of special software the following indicators: average area of adipose tissue in (mcm2), the average bone tissue area (mcm2), the average thickness of the cortical plate (mcm), the maximum length of the trabeculae (mcm), area of the cartilage tissue in the sample (%), the average number of young chondrocytes. Obtained data is inserted into the linear regression equation: AGE = 38.837+0.106×rankA+0.143×rankB+0.101×C+0.054×rankD-0.095×E-0,118×rankF, where AGE – the estimated age of the corpse in years, A – average area of adipose tissue, mcm2, rank A is determined from Table 2, B – average bone tissue area mcm2, rank B is determined from Table 3, C – average thickness of the cortical plate, mcm, D – maximum length of trabecula, mcm, rank D is determined from Table 4, E – area of the cartilaginous tissue in %, F – average number of young chondrocytes, rank F is determined from Table 5. As a result of the calculation, a conclusion is made about the biological age of the corpse.
EFFECT: method allows to accelerate, simplify and improve the accuracy of the forecast in the age group over 50 years.
