SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to surgery, oncology, and can be used for the differential diagnosis of cystic neoplasia of the pancreas. In a patient with cystic pancreatic formation, three indicators are assessed: the level of carbohydrate antigen CA 19-9 in the blood, the presence inside the cyst of parietal contrast formations according to computed tomography with contrast, the ratio of the level of neutrophils to lymphocytes in the total blood count. If an increase in the level of CA 19–9 is more than 37 U/ml, in combination with the ratio of the level of neutrophils to lymphocytes more than 1.975 and the presence of contrasting cystic formations, the cystic formation is considered malignant.

EFFECT: method provides improved differential diagnosis of cystic formations of the pancreas through the use of a combined method of research.
