SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of medicine, namely to oncology, and is intended for the differential diagnosis of cystic formations of the pancreas. Conduct a standard transabdominal ultrasound examination of the abdominal cavity. Choose the area of interest, which is the area of the cystic formation of the pancreas. In order to stabilize the image, fix the position of the arm for 4–6 seconds, then invite the patient to drink 200–400 ml of degassed liquid to obtain sufficient acoustic access to the pancreas. In the shear wave elastometry mode, measuring is carried out 5–10 times in each zone of interest, namely, within the formation and in the unchanged pancreatic tissue. Perform a quantitative assessment of tissue stiffness or shear wave velocity. Measure: 1) average value (Ave), m/s or kPa; 2) ratio of indicators within the formation and in the unchanged pancreatic tissue (Ratio). Based on the data obtained, differential diagnosis of pancreatic formations is carried out. With an average stiffness of 16 ± 2.27 kPa and a ratio of 2.4 ± 0.72, a simple cyst is diagnosed. With an average value of stiffness of 30 ± 7.4 kPa and a ratio of 1.3 ± 0.86, serous cystadenoma is diagnosed. With an average value of rigidity of 78.5 ± 11.6 kPa and a ratio of 3.2 ± 0.55, mucinous cystadenoma is diagnosed. With an average value of stiffness of 100 ± 10.6 kPa and a ratio of 8 ± 1.9, cystadenocarcinoma is diagnosed.

EFFECT: method provides an improvement in the differential diagnosis of cystic masses of the pancreas of various etiologies, the choice of the correct treatment tactics through the use of ultrasound elastography.
