FIELD: medicine; diagnostics.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to diagnostics, it can be used in the diagnostics of malignant cystic formations of the pancreas. For this purpose, transabdominal ultrasound examination of the abdominal organs and elastography are performed. After performing an ultrasound examination of the abdominal organs and selecting the area of interest, the patient is asked to drink 300 ml of degassed liquid to obtain acoustic access to the pancreas. A 5-10-fold measurement is performed in the shear wave elastometry mode inside the formation and in the unchanged pancreatic tissue. A quantitative assessment of the stiffness of the tissues or the shear wave velocity is performed. The coefficient of indicator ratio is measured inside the formation and in the unchanged pancreatic tissue. If the ratio coefficient value is less than 5.1, the cystic formation is regarded as benign. If the ratio coefficient value is more than or equal to 5.1, the cystic formation is regarded as malignant.

EFFECT: method provides a fairly accurate diagnostics of malignant cystic formations of the pancreas without the use of any additional research methods due to the use of ultrasound elastography.
