FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to surgery, and can be used as a method for the differential diagnosis of destructive pancreatitis. Method includes examining the patient's blood, determining the content of polyunsaturated fatty acid – γ-linolenic acid in the blood. At a concentration level of less than 0.1 mcg/ml, the destructive form of pancreatitis is determined, and at a level of more than 0.1 mcg/ml, edematous is determined.
EFFECT: use of the claimed invention will improve the accuracy of the differential diagnosis of destructive pancreatitis.
