SUBSTANCE: invention relates to converter equipment. Structure of the submodule formed from the energy store, the first lockable device, the second lockable device, the third lockable device, reverse diode, series resistor and diodes, respectively, connected in anti-parallel with the locking devices, and the converter, fully or partially formed from submodules. Corresponding protective unit and control method for the transducer is additionally disclosed. Converter can be locked in the event of a short circuit in the DC circuit so that the AC system cannot transfer the short circuit current to the DC circuit, so that the unstable short circuit of the DC circuit can be eliminated without opening the AC line switch, thereby ensuring that the system is quickly restarted. Submodule contains a charging resistor, so that the charging resistor located on the side of the AC converter circuit can be reduced, or even abandoned.
EFFECT: resistor in the sub-module can reduce the charge resistance configured on the alternating current side of the converter.
