FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: coupling device (34) is fixed to ladle (11) shroud (111) for reversibly coupling inlet orifice (115a) of said ladle shroud (111) to collector nozzle (112) fixed to the outside of a bottom floor of ladle (11) by at least first and second elongated latches (32). Latches (32) are configured for rotation on hinge (36) from a fixing position to an idle position. Idle position of the latches ensures the interaction of the ladle shroud in its casting configuration around the collector nozzle, and the fixing position allows catching means (33, 33a) located on the latches to interact with matching fixing means (31, 31a) placed on the gate frame that holds the collector nozzle.
EFFECT: ensuring retention of the ladle shroud without the aid of an external device and without increasing its dimensions and simplicity for manipulating it using existing robots.
