SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the nanotechnology, and can be used in the composites, electrochemical and electrophysical devices manufacturing. Electrodes are placed into the carbon source containing electrolyte. As the anode, electrically conductive materials are used, such as iron, aluminum, titanium, molybdenum, copper, and stainless steel. Also, as the anode, non-conductive material can be used, provided with the electrically conductive material coating, such as iron, aluminum, titanium, molybdenum, copper, and stainless steel. As the electrolyte, the HCO3, H3C2O2, CO3 anions containing salts aqueous solutions are used, either individually or as the mixture. As the HCO3 and/or CO3 anions containing salts, water soluble sodium and/or potassium salts or mixture thereof can be used, and as the salts, containing the H3C2O2 anions are the water-soluble salts K, Na, Ba, Cu, Mg, Cr, Fe++, Fe+++, Ni, Mn, Zn, Ag, Sn, Co or mixtures thereof. Through the electrolyte a constant or pulsed electric current is passed.

EFFECT: produced graphene, graphene films and coatings on the substrate in the industrial scale without the use of high temperatures, protective atmospheres and expensive salts.
