FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely cardiology and surgery, and can be used for the differential diagnosis of acute and subacute infective endocarditis. Method includes the study of a sample of blood serum with the definition of immunoglobulin. Content of serum secretory immunoglobulin A (sIgA) is determined by enzyme immunoassay and with a concentration of sIgA equal to or more than 10 mg/l, acute infective endocarditis is diagnosed, and with an sIgA concentration of less than 10 mg/l, subacute infective endocarditis is diagnosed.
EFFECT: use of this method allows to differentiate acute IE from subacute IE based on established characteristic for these variants of the course of IE, the ranges of sIgA values, which will expand the range of laboratory and diagnostic capabilities for early differential diagnosis of the course of the disease.
