SUBSTANCE: invention relates to articles that contain water-soluble films and a household care composition, where the films include a polyvinyl alcohol (PVOH) resin blend and optionally one or more additional components such as plasticisers, fillers, surfactants, and other additives. PVOH resin blend contains a first PVOH terpolymer in an amount of from 10 to 75 wt. % based on a polyvinyl alcohol resin blend containing one or more types of anionic monomeric units selected from the group consisting of acrylamido methylpropanesulphonic acids, salts thereof, formed by alkali metals, and combinations thereof, and a second anionic PVOH terpolymer in an amount of 25 to 90 wt. % based on the polyvinyl alcohol resin blend, where the second anionic monomer is selected from the group consisting of monomethyl maleate, salts thereof, formed by alkali metals, and combinations thereof.

EFFECT: when both PVOH copolymers are mixed in certain proportions and / or selected based on different criteria related to the physical and chemical properties of the film, the resulting water-soluble film formed from a PVOH resin blend is characterised by essentially improved dissolution properties in water, tensile strength and / or tensile modulus properties.
