FIELD: water and air purification technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in water cooling systems (100) with open circulation of water to control the formation of deposits. Device includes main part (1) and auxiliary part (2), within which water (5) moves, wherein auxiliary part (2) is designed as a bypass line. Method includes changing the characteristics of water (5) inside auxiliary part (2) of system, wherein the Reynolds number of water (5) inside auxiliary part (2) is provided in excess of 8,000, preferably from 10,000 to 20,000. Said characteristic differs from the characteristic of water (5) inside main part (1) of the system so that inside auxiliary part (2) of the system more favorable conditions are created for the formation of deposits than inside main part (1) of the system. Inside auxiliary part (2) of the system, a first flow rate of water (5) is provided, greater than the second flow rate inside main part (1) of the system. Formation of deposits inside (2) is detected by means of device (8), for example, using ultrasound, and the first flow rate is provided by means of a pumping device.
EFFECT: presence of an auxiliary part in the system provides control and early warning of the formation of deposits for the main part of the water system.
