FIELD: technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions can be used in industrial processes for regulating the concentration of treatment chemicals in open recirculating cooling water systems. Method includes defining the dwell time of the treatment chemical inside the liquid bearing system. Concentration of the treatment chemical – anti-scaling additives, anti-fouling additives and/or anti-corrosion additives after a time interval is manipulated by feeding freshwater and/or treatment chemicals into the liquid bearing system at a specific feeding rate. Wherein the feeding rate of the fresh water and/or the treatment chemical is changed as soon as scaling is detected. Deposit is measured by device (8) for detecting deposit comprising an ultrasonic transducer for emitting ultrasonic emission signal (20), a detections means for detecting ultrasonic reflection signal (21) and/or a heating means. System also comprises a device for manipulating the concentration of a treatment chemical after a time interval correlated to a dwell time by feeding freshwater and/or treatment chemicals into the liquid bearing system at a specific feeding rate. Wherein the dwell time is based on parameters of the liquid bearing system, such as a liquid volume, evaporation of the liquid and the amount of a blowdown.

EFFECT: inventions provide the optimal control of the concentration of treatment chemicals in liquid systems.
