ANALYTE CONCENTRATION MEASUREMENT SYSTEM RECORDING USER MENU CHOICES Russian patent published in 2018 - IPC A61B5/145

Abstract RU 2675662 C2

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medical equipment, and in particular to systems for measuring the concentration of an analyte. System comprisesa biosensor adapted to receive a fluid sample and provide analyte data corresponding to an analyte concentration of the fluid sample, an analyte meter, comprising a user interface adapted to provide a menu of functions to a user and successively receive a plurality of menu choices, wherein the menu of functions comprises a limited menu of one or more analyte measurement functions, and the user interface includes a plurality of labels on the display screen of the analyte meter corresponding to screen-independent switches or soft buttons of the user interface, wherein at least one label for the soft button is not visible to the user to provide at least one unlabeled soft button, a storage device containing data defining a first action criterion, wherein the first action criterion is based on the state of the analyte meter or analyte data, wherein the state of the analyte meter refers to at least one of connection capacity and functionality of the analyte meter, and a processor, operably connected to the user interface, the biosensor and the storage device and configured to automatically register the accepted menu choices and analyte data and compare the menu choices and analyte data with the first action criterion such that if the saved menu choices and analyte data satisfy the first action criterion, the processor automatically adds a first additional function to the menu of functions and displays a graphic label for the first additional function for a previously unlabeled soft button, wherein the first additional function is the first additional function of analyte measurement and contains one of the function of plotting the analyte measurement results or the function of notification of the analyte measurement results, each of the remaining plurality of labels on the display screen remains unchanged in relation to their previous match with the corresponding screen-independent switches or soft buttons, when the first action criterion is satisfied, and a graphic label is displayed for the first additional function for a previously unlabeled soft button.

EFFECT: use of the invention allows personalisation of the user interface with regard to the method of using the device for measuring an analyte in blood.
