SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to an analytical method for determining concentration of an analyte in a physiological fluid using a mobile device comprising a camera and a processor, comprising: i) capturing an image of at least a portion of the optical test strip with the camera, wherein the optical test strip comprises a physiological fluid sample applied to the test area with the test strip reagent, and ii) obtaining information on local temperature in current location of mobile device, wherein said information on local temperature is obtained using a mobile device from at least two of the following temperature sources: a) remote weather information service; b) an external electronic device temperature sensor and c) a mobile device temperature sensor; or wherein said local temperature information is obtained using a mobile device from a temperature sensor of an external electronic device; and wherein the external electronic device is selected from one or more of wearable accessories, such as fitness trackers, smart watches, smart glasses, smart clothes; components of smart houses, such as electronic heating systems, smart temperature measuring devices, home weather stations; and wearable sensors, such as non-invasive analyte sensors; and iii) optionally determining, by the processor, a correction temperature and/or a temperature correction function using the local temperature information from step ii); and iv) determining, using the processor, the analyte concentration from the image captured in step i), based on the color formation reaction on the test region with a reagent containing a sample of physiological fluid deposited thereon, taking into account at least one of local temperature information from step ii), correction temperature from step iii) and correction function for temperature from step iii).
