FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of medicine, namely to biophysics, radiobiology and sanitary medicine, and is intended for disinfection of objects without their heating. Method of killing microorganisms involves the exposure to an object of an electromagnetic field of ultrahigh frequency. Effect is carried out by the frequency, resonant torsional vibrations of DNA of microorganisms and calculated by the formula THz, where BP is the number of nucleotide pairs, for a nonthermal power flux density of an ultrahigh-frequency electromagnetic field of 2.5 mW/cm2 during the 6T irradiation time, where T is the time of fission of microorganisms. To eliminate the orientation effect, three plane-polarized radiation perpendicular to each other are used simultaneously.
EFFECT: use of the invention makes it possible to destroy harmful micro-organisms in various objects without changing the properties of disinfected objects and without harming humans and the surrounding ecosystem.
