FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to elements of electrical equipment that absorb electromagnetic waves radiated by an antenna in order to reduce reflections when calibrating radio measuring or radar devices. Electromagnetic radiation absorber is an identical pyramid-shaped body of foam plastic impregnated with small particles of electrically conductive materials located close to and reinforced with bases on the walls of a shielded room. Giving pyramid-shaped bodies the form of regular fractal pyramids of Sierpinski due to at least one iteration of the sequential removal of foam segments from the internal volume in the form of inverted 180° and reduced in 2n times like pyramids (where n is the number of iterations).
EFFECT: technical result is to reduce the weight of the absorber.
