FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to repair production and can be used in the repairing of strengthened by induction hardening crankshafts of internal combustion engines, such as KAMAZ engines. Method comprises a stabilizing volumetric tempering of the crankshaft, grinding necks for repair dimensions, shaft hardening by low-temperature chemical heat treatment and finishing of the necks, stabilizing volume tempering is carried out in a nitrogen atmosphere at a temperature of 500±10 °C for 5 hours to obtain the hardness of the remaining induction hardened layer of 37-45HRC, and the shaft is hardened by ion nitriding at a temperature of 450±10 °C for 36 hours.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible, in combination with low-temperature chemical-thermal treatment after grinding the necks for repair dimensions, to increase the fatigue strength and wear resistance of repaired crankshafts.
