SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in the internal combustion engines. Internal combustion engine cylinder block contains the cylinder barrel wall (12), capable to hold the piston to perform the reciprocating motion by the piston. At least one part of the cylinder barrel wall (12) in the cylinder axial direction includes a plurality of layers (30a), (30b), (30c), which differ from each other in density. Plurality of layers (30a), (30b), (30c) includes the first layer (30a) and the second layer (30b). First layer (30a) is located closer to the cylinder head in the cylinder axial direction. Second layer (30b) is located farther from the cylinder head and has lower density than the first layer. Cylinder block has a water jacket, through which the engine coolant flows. Cylinder barrel wall (12) includes the cylinder liner (30) and the main wall. Main wall is located on the cylinder liner (30) outer circumferential side and on the water jacket inner side in the cylinder radial direction. At least one part of the cylinder barrel wall (12) is at least one part of the main wall in the cylinder axial direction. Disclosed is the cylinder block production method.

EFFECT: technical result consists in the heat transfer suppression inside the cylinder liner wall from the closer to the cylinder head side, to the distant from the cylinder head side in the cylinder axial direction.
