FIELD: wireless communication equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to wireless communication networks, in particular to the detection of a beam in a millimeter-wave wireless communication network. Plurality of downlink beams are received from the base station, each downlink beam containing a corresponding reference signal containing associated time shift information. Random access preamble sequence is transmitted to the base station in the time interval indicated by the time offset information of the selected downlink beam from the multiple downlink beams.
EFFECT: invention is intended for the formation of a narrow beam by means of an antenna array, which allows increasing the density of communication devices without causing interference.
