FIELD: technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the production of textured sheet magnetic steel with an insulating coating applied. Insulating coating containing Si, P, O and Cr and at least one element selected from the group consisting of Mg, Ca, Ba, Sr, Zn, Al and Mn. XPS spectrum for the outer surface of the insulating coating demonstrates the presence of peaks observed in the Cr2p_1/2 and Cr2p_3/2 regions. Working solution is applied to the surface of the textured electrical steel subjected to finishing annealing, containing phosphate of at least one of Mg, Ca, Ba, Sr, Zn, Al and Mn, and colloidal silicon dioxide and the Cr compound. Calcination is carried out at a temperature of 850–1,000 °C, H₂ concentration in the calcination atmosphere 0.3-(230-0.2T) vol.% during the calcination time in the range from 5 to 860-0.8T sec.

EFFECT: obtained coated steel sheet has a high corrosion resistance, workability, heat resistance.
