FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, particularly to traumatology and orthopedics. During a preoperative period, an ultrasound Doppler scan of the vessels of the lower limb is performed. Presence/absence of preoperative antibiotic prophylaxis and edema of the fracture zone on the day of surgery are determined. Level of blood glucose upon admission of the patient is determined. Level of leukocytes in the blood is determined in a postoperative period. Patient's body temperature in the first day after surgery and the erythrocyte sedimentation rate after surgery are taken into account. Values are assessed in points. Then the prognostic factor (PCroppl) is calculated according to the stated formula. If PCroppl is higher than 0.41096, then a high risk of complications after surgical treatment is predicted.
EFFECT: method provides improved reliability of predicting the risk of developing complications after surgical treatment in patients with isolated fractures of the heel bone with displacement due to the assessment of the most significant indicators complex.
