SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to surgery, thoracic surgery, cardiovascular surgery, traumatology, and can be used in selecting effective surgical management in patients with coagulated hemothorax. That is ensured by determining a number of anamnestic, physical and laboratory data, namely: chest X-ray findings on admission, data on the concentration of alanine aminotransferase, bilirubin, creatinine, total protein in biochemical blood analysis, time from the moment of disease to admission, hemoglobin concentration in total blood analysis, erythrocyte sedimentation rate, body temperature at admission, data on concomitant diagnosis. Using the above data, the prognostic efficiency factor (SEI) of the surgical methods is calculated as the classification value of the regression equation by the original calculation formula. A classification value is obtained and compared with an analytical scale. If the value of the coefficient is greater than or equal to -0.5178, the method of surgical management is selected using video-thoracoscopy as the most effective.
EFFECT: method provides the accuracy of selecting an effective surgical method in this category of patients by taking into account a plurality of significant parameters.
