SUBSTANCE: invention relates to railway automation and telemetry systems for controlling train movement. Technical solution includes a train control system for embedding in a train, wherein the train control system including a processor, a database associated with the processor that includes a track profile having predetermined parameters regarding how the train should perform on a particular route, and an antenna for receiving a signal to a sign on an arrow from a wayside transponder. And the processor determines a location of the train from the signal to the sign on the arrow and on the assessment of whether the change in the train performance is required as a result of changing the particular route indicated by the signal to the sign on the arrow, and also uses a signal from the wayside transponder to distinguish parallel rail tracks located close to each other.
EFFECT: safer train movement.
