FIELD: materials science.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of materials science and can be used in the manufacture of nanomaterials. Homogeneous mixture of powders of nanodiamonds in the amount of 20–35 wt. % and polytetrafluoroethylene is subjected to thermochemical treatment in an inert atmosphere at a temperature of 420–500 °C to complete decomposition of polytetrafluoroethylene. Produce detonation nanodiamonds with fluorinated surface. Uniformity of concentration of fluorine-containing functional groups on the surface of nanodiamonds throughout the volume of the powder increases.
EFFECT: eliminating the need for radiation processing.
