FIELD: meteorology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of meteorology, and relates to the solar radiation characteristics measuring method. Method is based on the solar radiation maximum and minimum values measuring using a sensor having at least two measuring elements that are located under a hemispherical masking element with transparent and opaque for solar radiation areas. Transparent and opaque areas are arranged in such a way that at the time of measurement, regardless of the sensor azimuthal orientation and the Sun position, at least one measuring element is completely open to direct solar radiation and measures the solar radiation maximum value, and the other at least one measuring element is completely closed for the direct solar radiation and measures the solar radiation minimum value. In addition, the sensor includes an additional measuring element, located above the masking element not transparent to solar radiation area in such a way that it directly measures the total solar radiation. At that, it does not affect the shape and does not increase the total area of the masking element not transparent to solar radiation areas.
EFFECT: technical result is increase in the measurements accuracy.
