FIELD: measurement.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to actinometry and can be used to determine scattered and direct radiation in cumulus clouds. Measurements are carried out using one unsharpened pyranometer. Values of scattered radiation are measured when the Sun is completely covered by a dense cumulus cloud. Values of total radiation are measured in those moments when Sun is completely open. Frequency and number of measurements inside each stable state of the Sun depend on horizontal dimensions and number of cumulus clouds, as well as on speed of their movement on the sky. Direct measurements are used to calculate values of direct radiation.
EFFECT: determination of scattered and direct radiation in cumulus clouds.
