FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the technology of production of cellulose nitrates (CN), namely to assess the quality of industrial grinding of pyroxylin on various grinding machines. Method involves the preparation in two measuring cylinders of an aqueous suspension of the crushed product, mixing it and the subsequent precipitation of the suspension CN on a vibratory installation to a constant volume of sediment under the action of sedimentation and vibrational oscillations with an appropriate frequency for at least 40 minutes. Then, taking into account the specific actual moisture content of the initial ground mass, the density of the obtained precipitate is calculated and the quality of the product milling is evaluated.
EFFECT: invention allows for a short time to reliably assess the quality of grinding of pyroxylins No 1 and No 2 in industrial conditions.
