SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of agricultural engineering, in particular to equipment for pre-sowing treatment of seed material, and can be used to prepare for sowing of small seed crops, such as carrots. Installation for pre-treatment of seeds contains a grinding drum, the inner surface of which is covered with a layer of rubber, loading and unloading trunnions. Grinding drum is made as a multifaceted pyramid installed at an acute angle α relative to the horizontal axis of rotation with flat edges around its perimeter and with flat end walls of polygonal shape, placed at different angles β and ψ to the axis of rotation of the pyramid and to each other at an angle ϕ. Longest axes of the end walls of the polygonal shape are turned along the axis of rotation of the drum relative to each other by an angle ω. Inner surface of the loading and unloading trunnion is covered with a layer of rubber.
