SUBSTANCE: invention relates to agriculture. A machine for grinding carrot seeds is proposed, containing a grinding drum made in form of a hollow truncated cone installed obliquely relative to the horizontal axis of rotation with a surface along the perimeter in form of protrusions and depressions of a triangular shape and located obliquely at the same angle α the bases of a hollow truncated cone in form of end walls of an elliptical forms with generators along the perimeter in form of protrusions and depressions of a triangular shape or located obliquely at different angles ϕ and j to the horizontal axis of rotation of the drum in form of a truncated cone with flat end walls of an elliptical shape with generators along their perimeter in form of alternating protrusions and depressions of a triangular shape. The major axes of the ellipses of the bases of the truncated cone in form of elliptical end walls with triangular projections and depressions along the perimeter are rotated relative to each other by an angle β, which forms helical lines and helical surfaces of a triangular shape along the perimeter of the helical drum. Inside the drum, a cylindrical spring mounted in an elliptical spring is concentrically installed, which are equipped with devices for changing the pitch of the turns by stretching or compressing them.

EFFECT: machine provides high efficiency in use.
